The ingredients needed to make Chana masala:
- Get 2 bowls Overnight soaked chana
- Take 1 Onion
- Make ready 4 tsp Dry coconut grated
- Get 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- Get 1/2 tsp each Mustard,cumin seeds
- Take Handful Coriander leaves
- Prepare 1tsp Red Chilli powder
- Make ready 1 tsp Garam masala
- Make ready 1 tsp Chana masala

- Take 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- Prepare 4-5 tsp Oil
Steps to make Chana masala:
- Wash soaked chana and cook it in pressure cooker for 3 or 4 whistles
- Roast cut onion,grated coconut and make paste with coriander
- Heat oil add mustard and cumin seeds,let it flutter,now add garlic ginger paste and saute for a minute
- Now low the flame and add red chilli powder, turmeric powder,garam masala,chana masala,salt mix well
- Now add 1 tsp water and add the onion,coconut paste saute it till it leaves the oil
- Now add the cooked chana mix well.Cover it with lid and cook for 5 minutes.
- Now add water to adjust desired consistency
- Let it boil and serve hot
